They say this chicken is better than “theirs” and just might become your favorite! 🙈 Here’s how to make it, along with a crunchy coleslaw and a comforting gibanica.
Chicken Bites
Prep the Chicken:
Take chicken breasts, wash and pat them dry. Trim any excess fat and cut them into bite-sized cubes.Marinate:

200 g cheese (crumbled)
3 eggs
½ cup sparkling water
Salt, pepper, and a dash of baking powder.
Bake: At 170°C (340°F) for about 45 minutes, until golden and set.

- Combine in a bowl:
- ½ head of finely chopped cabbage
- 2–3 grated carrots
- 1 thinly sliced onion
- A handful of chopped parsley
- Dress with:
- Salt, pepper, 1 tablespoon mayonnaise, juice of ½ lemon (or 1 tablespoon vinegar), and 1 teaspoon mustard.
- Mix well and refrigerate briefly before serving.
Dipping Sauce
- Whisk together:
- Mayonnaise
- Ketchup
- Salt, pepper, a dash of curry powder, and ½ teaspoon sugar.
Quick Gibanica
Mix the Batter:
Combine:1 cup milk
½ cup kajmak (or a similar cream cheese)
200 g cheese (crumbled)
3 eggs
½ cup sparkling water
Salt, pepper, and a dash of baking powder.
Layer the Phyllo:
Dip each sheet of phyllo pastry in the mixture and layer them in a greased baking pan. Pour any leftover mixture over the top. If needed, whisk 1 egg with milk and oil to use as the final toppingBake: At 170°C (340°F) for about 45 minutes, until golden and set.
