Delicious Cherry Cake

Ingredients:

  • 5 eggs
  • 300 g sugar
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • 150 ml oil
  • 200 ml yogurt
  • 500 g pitted cherries

1. Prepare the Batter:

Start by preheating your oven to 170°C. In a large bowl, beat the 5 eggs and 300 g sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the 150 ml oil and 200 ml yogurt, and mix until smooth.

2. Add Dry Ingredients:

Sift the 300 g flour and 1 packet of baking powder together, then slowly add them to the egg mixture. Stir gently until everything is well combined.

3. Pour and Top:

Line a 40x20 cm baking pan with parchment paper and pour the batter into the pan. Spread it out evenly. Next, arrange the 500 g pitted cherries over the top of the batter.

4. Bake the Cake:

Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Every oven is different, so check for doneness around the 30-minute mark.

5. Finish and Serve:

Once the cake is baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool. Before serving, dust the top with powdered sugar for a sweet finishing touch.
